Honorees:
Honorees will include the law firm of Much Shelist, Legal Council for Health Justice, and the Law Center for Better Housing for their incredible partnership in filing an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case Grants Pass v. Johnson. The decision in this case allows municipalities to fine and arrest people for sleeping outdoors.
CCH vehemently opposes this ruling and continues to advocate for the rights of people experiencing homelessness. At the event, we will provide updates on our advocacy response, including legislation to protect Illinoisans experiencing street homelessness.
