You can read the U.S. Census Bureau’s full statement here.

That means there is still time to respond to the Census and to make sure our communities get counted.Census 2020: People experiencing homelessness count too!

As of October 13,  Chicago’s self-response rate is only 60.5%, so there is still work to do!

Visit my2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 TODAY to fill out the Census! It takes only 10 minutes and will determine how much funding and political representation our communities receive for the next 10 years.

Service-based enumeration at shelters, soup kitchens, and other programs serving people experiencing homelessness took place between Sept 22 and 24, but people experiencing homelessness can still self-respond! Check out this step-by-step guide for more information.

The Census counts every single person living in the United States. Everyone counts no matter their housing status, income, age, race, or country of origin. The Census happens only once every 10 years, so it’s critical to get it right.
