Youth Living on Their Own Have a Right to be in School

While the law is clear that "unaccompanied homeless youths" have the same educational rights as homeless children who are living with a parent, our experience shows that youth living on their own often have difficulty in gaining access to educational opportunities.

To help address the needs of homeless youth, the CCH Law Project launched Youth Futures, a mobile legal aid clinic. Started in 2004, Youth Futures is the only legal clinic in Illinois dedicated to serving homeless youth.
