CCH joins housing activists in mourning the death of Beauty Turner.
Ms. Turner, 51, was an editor and writer of the free public housing newspaper, Residents Journal.
Ms. Turner was among the Journal staff honored two years ago with a Studs Terkel Award from the Community Media Workshop.
She also created and led the acclaimed Ghetto Bus Tours through the remnants of Chicago's public housing system.
