Chicago Sun-Times put out two great columns on Sunday, one by Mark Brown and the other by Mary Mitchell.
In "Think CTA trains are bad? Try living there," Brown writes about a woman who lived on the Red Line for nearly two years. She is now housed thanks to a supportive-housing facility operated by Mercy Housing Lakefront, a group which, Brown writes, "that does as much as anybody in Chicago to house the homeless."

And in "Mercy Home delivers bright future to teen," Mitchell writes about a college-bound graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep who lived in Mercy Home for Boys and Girls after a childhood of instability. Follow the link to read Mitchell's column.
